RL-ID was commissioned to develop a new interior plan for this beautiful apartment in the historic city centre of Leiden. The client wished to create greater unity and harmony between the kitchen, study, living, and sleeping areas.
Robbert made use of his knowledge and contacts within the antiques and interior world, complementing the existing (antique) furniture and decorative objects with new finds.
The result is a beautiful and cohesive interior in which fresh colours have been used, atmospheric lighting has been added, and a harmonious blend of antique and contemporary design is perfectly balanced.
In the realization of this interior project, RL-ID made use of, among others:
FARROW&BALL paint, colour Pavilion Gray; furniture from various leading brands and antique dealers; JAMES HARE silk fabrics for upholstering custom-made lampshades; and fabrics by DESIGNS OF THE TIME and IAN SANDERSON for various upholstery, such as curtains and bedspreads.
