Classic elegance with a contemporary balance
The classical character of this beautiful detached 1920s home in Oegstgeest, together with the residents’ classical taste, was an important starting point for RL-ID in the development of a new interior design.
An original 18th-century French sandstone fireplace, topped with an antique 17th-century Louis XIV mirror — specially purchased by us in Paris for our client — has become a true eye-catcher in this interior.
The new decorative plasterwork on the ceilings and the stained-glass windows refer to the 1920s style.
The fresh green colour chosen by Robbert brings balance to the home and gives it a fresh and contemporary appearance.
In the realization of this interior project, RL-ID made use of:
FARROW&BALL paint, colour Cooking Apple Green; silk fabrics by JAMES HARE for, among other things, upholstering custom-made lampshades and cushions; upholstery fabrics by JANE CHURCHILL; and door and window hardware by DAUBY.
