T’Duyfrak, Valkenburg
Robbert Lagerweij Interior Design was asked by the residents (a family with two teenage daughters) to create an interior design that would convince them to stay in their current home, as after eleven years they were also considering moving.
In addition to the existing elements, the interior needed to have a balanced, warm, and modern contemporary appearance. Robbert succeeded in this with a complete interior design plan, and the client enthusiastically decided to have the design executed by Robbert and his (construction) team.
The family home in the ’t Duyfrak district along the Rhine in Valkenburg (near Leiden) underwent a complete transformation during a five-month renovation.
In addition to plastering and painting, the team of interior professionals at RL-ID installed furniture and accessories, original wallpaper, a gas fireplace, and various lighting elements — some designed and custom-made by RL-ID.
This resulted in a unique, contemporary, functional, warm, and inviting interior.
In the realization of this interior project, Robbert Lagerweij Interior Design made use of, among others:
Farrow&Ball paint, colour Elephant’s Breath for the walls; cushions by RL-ID; a rug by EBRU; various lighting elements such as the oak soffit or box light with spotlights in the kitchen above the cooking island, designed by RL-ID; and wallpaper from the collection of Elements of Interior.
