Discover how Robbert Lagerweij Interior Design works: a personal plan, a comprehensive plan, and professional execution.
Personal plan
We always begin with an exploratory introductory consultation in your own living or working environment. Robbert will personally meet you and visit the location. He will assess the space, discuss your living wishes in detail, and share his initial vision and ideas. It will also be discussed which furniture pieces will remain in the interior and what may possibly be replaced. A sourcing request for Robbert can also form part of this phase.
You will then receive a written basic plan/report outlining his advice regarding the layout of the space(s), the use of materials and colors, lighting, and window treatments.
This first phase is very important; your questions and wishes form the starting point of a new interior plan. This introductory consultation will be developed into a basic plan/report for you in writing.
Complete Interior Plan
This plan can be further developed into a comprehensive plan, giving you the opportunity to move into the next phase with RL-ID, in which the new design and the execution of the interior plan are worked out step by step. In this phase, the entire plan is elaborated in detail together with you. Fabrics are proposed, fixtures are selected, and furniture and wall colors are chosen.
There is also the possibility to visit the manufacturer of various brands together — for example, sofa manufacturers — to select the right fabric, with the right leg, in the right color, height, and cushion thickness. Or to choose the most suitable wood grain and color for a new floor directly at the workshop.
Robbert can use his extensive network and expertise in the art and antiques trade to source an original art piece and/or antique object or furniture piece especially for you.

Execution
The execution phase is also included as part of the comprehensive package. This means that within the RL-ID construction team, collaboration takes place with various interior specialists, contractors, and skilled professionals such as painters, plasterers, and parquet installers. RL-ID can provide full project advisory and management services for this process.
Our experience shows that this working method and close collaboration lead to the best possible result. Your wishes and the RL-ID design plan on the one hand, and the practical possibilities of, for example, a contractor on the other, will be better aligned.
Naturally, if desired, RL-ID can carry out the comprehensive plan in phases.
